The UK Government is committed to delivering Net Zero in 2050.
The transport component of that delivery requires a material and permanent reduction in car use, regardless of whether those cars are zero emission and/or drive themselves.
Delivering a long term sustainable reduction in traffic either requires us all to travel less or to travel either actively (by foot or bike) or collectively (by bus, tram or train)
We are seeing significant steps in major cities around the World (some of them surprising!) to turn themselves into cleaner, healthier pleasanter places to live by rolling back the tyranny of the car and the scourge of traffic - planting trees where the jams used to be!
The bus can play a big and positive role in doing something similar in the UK.
The document below contains an orderly structured approach to how we can all ‘Ride the Bus to Net Zero’ but we need to run as that bus needs to leave soon!
